Choose a height which captures enough of the scene to generate a 3D scan and provides an intuitive perspective for the virtual tour.

- Outdoors: more elevated to capture more of the scene
Around Objects
Maintain a stand-off of 1 meter (3 feet) from objects.
- It is OK to reach forward with the camera to capture the sides and top of objects.
Mounting Options
- Selfie sticks made for 360 cameras will automatically hide the are great and come in longer formats. They are inexpensive and lightweight. If you are capturing frequently, longer format carbon-fiber collapsible selfie sticks might seem expensive at first but pay for themselves in convenience and efficiency in capturing a wide range of sites.
- Hard-hat mounts are typically worn on construction helmet and elevate the camera for hands-free capture. Some users of hard-hat mounts report sore necks especially if they are trying to minimize rocking the camera back-and-forth with each step during the capture.
