Theta X

• Update using a WiFi network, Smartphone, or Computer. We recommend using the computer update method:
  1. Install the RICOH THETA computer app.
  2. Connect the camera to the computer.
  3. Open the RICOH THETA app.
  4. Click on File > Firmware Update...
  5. Follow the instructions to complete the update process.
• Install current version.
• IMPORTANT! Confirm that the WiFi setting on the main screen shows AP, not CL (Client Mode WiFi). The camera will not connect to TwinCapture with Client Mode WiFi toggled on. Details here: Ricoh Theta X Basic Setup : CupixWorks Support Center.

Identify Serial Number and Firmware Version

Sometimes a support person may require details not found in the system or there may be multiple cameras in a project. Here is how to tell which serial number and firmware version your specific camera has when requested.

Insta360

Insta360 cameras appear in your mobile device WiFi or TwinCapture listings as follows:

• The camera model.
• The last six digits of the Serial Number.
• It is always followed by ".OSC". (The acronym OSC stands for One Shot Color, and indicates that the camera takes full-color images in single shots.)

Example: ONE X2 6R99V2.OSC

Below is how to find the Firmware Version and Serial Number for each camera:

One X2

1. Swipe down on the touchscreen and swipe left.
2. Tap on the Settings gear icon on the bottom right.
3. Swipe up until you reach Camera Info and tap on it.
4. The Firmware Version and Serial Number (Camera Name) will now appear.

One RS 1-Inch 360 Edition

1. Swipe down on the touchscreen and swipe left.
2. Tap on the Settings gear icon on the bottom left.
3. Swipe up until you reach Camera Info and tap on it.
4. The Firmware Version and Serial Number (SN) will now appear.

X4

1. Swipe down on the touchscreen, then swipe left and tap the Settings gear icon at the bottom.
2. Tap on Camera Info.
3. The Camera Serial No (number) and Camera Firmware version will now appear.

X5

1. Swipe down on the touchscreen, then tap the Settings gear icon in the upper right.

2. Tap on Camera Info.
3. The Camera Serial No (number) and Camera Firmware version will now appear.

Ricoh

Ricoh Theta cameras appear in your mobile device WiFi or TwinCapture listings as follows:

• The word "THETA".
• The complete Serial Number.
• It is always followed by ".OSC". (The acronym OSC stands for One Shot Color, and indicates that the camera takes full-color images in single shots.)

Example: THETAYN10230046.OSC

Theta X

The Serial Number is on the bottom of the camera and in the touchscreen settings:

1. Swipe down on the touchscreen to enter Settings.
2. Swipe up until you see Camera Information, then tap on it.
3. The Firmware Version and Serial Number will now appear at the top.
