Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch Basic Setup

- Note: This guide applies to the Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition only. Standard One RS (non-1-Inch) is not supported by CupixWorks.
Connect to Camera WiFi Network
Connect Camera to iOS Mobile Device
- On your mobile device, access Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Select the Insta360 ONE RS 1-inch WiFi SSID. (For example, ONE RS 7VMF4Q.OSC is an SSID.)
- Enter the password. The default password is '88888888' (eight 8's).
- Confirm that the camera WiFi network is connected.

Connect Camera to Android Mobile Device
- On your mobile device, access Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi.
- Select the Insta360 ONE RS 1-inch WiFi SSID. (For example, ONE RS 7VMF4Q.OSC is an SSID.)
- Enter the password. The default password is '88888888' (eight 8's).
- Confirm that the camera WiFi network is connected.

Change Camera USB Mode
The camera's USB Mode defaults to Android and might also be reset to Android after a firmware update, so it won't be found by a Windows/ MAC computer when using the Connect App to upload image files. To fix this:
- Touch the screen and swipe down
- Swipe left.
- Tap on the gear icon (Settings)
in the lower left.
- Tap on General.
- Tap on USB Mode.
- Change it to U-Disk Mode by tapping on it.
- Tap the back arrow < three times, then swipe up to return to the home screen.

Keep the Camera Powered On
To keep the camera from automatically powering off:
- Tap on the home screen and swipe down
- Swipe left.
- Tap on the gear icon (Settings)
in the lower left.
- Tap on General.
- Swipe up to Auto Power Off and tap on it.
- Change it to Never by tapping on it.
- Tap the back arrow < three times, then swipe up to return to the home screen.
Keep the Touch Screen On
To keep the camera touch screen from turning off:
- Tap on the home screen and swipe down
- Swipe left.
- Tap on the gear icon (Settings)
- Tap on General.
- Swipe up to Screen Auto Sleep and tap on it.
- Tap on Timer.
- Change it to Never by tapping on it.
- Tap the back arrow < three times, then swipe up to return to the home screen.
Turn the Touch Screen On/Off
To turn the touch screen on and off, hit the power button once.
Lock/Unlock the Touch Screen
Lock the camera touch screen to avoid accidentally changing the settings:
- In the camera's touch screen, swipe down to change the settings.
- Tap on the lock symbol in the upper right. The touch screen is now locked.
To unlock the screen, tap on the touch screen and swipe the lock symbol up.
Record without TwinCapture
If you need to record a site without TwinCapture due to an issue, contact your CSM for instructions first.
Here is how to record without the app:
- The camera should be reset to the factory defaults. Here is how: How to Hard Reset Insta360 One RS 1 Inch Edition - Perform Factory Reset (youtube.com).
- After you go through the tutorial change these settings:
- Swipe from right side to left side. Confirm camera settings (ISO, WB, etc) = Auto, then tap on X.
- Tap on recording mode at bottom left of main screen. Choose Timelapse (clock) & tap on it to confirm.
- Tap on recording specs at bottom right of main screen. Choose 6K & 0.5s, then tap on X.
- Swipe from right side to left side. Confirm camera settings (ISO, WB, etc) = Auto, then tap on X.
- The main screen should look like this:
4. Record your Timelapse videos. (If you need 3D dollhouses, keep them under 20 minutes each.)
5. Contact your CSM to coordinate the uploading & processing of the image files you recorded.
