VistaCapture handles the video upload to the cloud in two hops. First the video on your camera is transferred to your Phone. Next the video on the camera is uploaded to the cloud. This is handled entirely by the VistaCapture app and automates the upload process. For more information see VistaCapture.
Note: It is a requirement to use VistaCapture for Capture and Upload. If you are stuck and have videos that weren't uploaded with VistaCapture, please submit a support ticket and our team can help evaluate options.
Step 1: Video on Camera ▶ Transfer to Phone
360 Video Files first jump to your phone via the devices' Wi-Fi connection. Video files are temporarily stored on your phone during this step.
Step 2: Video on Phone ▶ Upload to Cloud
Next, your phone will connect to a Wi-Fi network* and upload the video files to the cloud. Make sure to keep the app open since this step could take a while depending on the size of your video and the quality and speed of your internet connection.
*Note: Cellular data will be used if a Wi-Fi network is not available. You can always wait and upload later once you have a Wi-Fi network available.
Upload Now or Upload Later?
If you are taking multiple of videos or if you in the field away from Wi-Fi then you might want to Upload Later. When you have finished you capture Choose Upload Now or Upload Later.
Upload Now
The App will immediately attempt to Upload the video you just captured to the CupixVista Cloud. If you aren't near a Wi-Fi network then cellular data will be used to upload the 360 video. You may not Capture while the App is uploading.
Upload Later:
The App will remember that there is a video file that needs to be uploaded. When you are ready to upload, click "Upload & Process" and follow the on screen prompts.
