Introduction
The 3D Dollhouse is an automatically generated point cloud from 360° video. In Aerial Mode, you can explore it for a comprehensive, immersive view of your project, navigating through a complete 3D representation of the captured site.
Switching to Aerial Mode
Aerial Mode provides a high-level overview of the 3D Dollhouse in the Main Viewer alongside the reference plan, while the 360 Pano Viewer continues to display a 360° pano for spatial context.
- Click the
Aerial Mode button to switch to a bird’s-eye view of the 3D Dollhouse. - The Main Viewer will display the 3D Dollhouse overlaid on the reference plan. Drag with the left mouse button to adjust the view angle.
- The 360 Pano Viewer will display the pano, helping you maintain spatial awareness while exploring the 3D structure.
Navigation in Aerial Mode

In Aerial Mode, you can navigate by clicking a pano in the 360 Pano Viewer or by selecting a location directly within the 3D Dollhouse. Keyboard navigation is also supported using the WASD or arrow keys, as in First-Person Mode.

View Options

Pano Bubbles – Show Pano Bubbles that indicate the capture locations and elevations of the 360° panos displayed in the Floating Viewer.
Note: You can customize their visibility in the Pano Bubble section within the
3D Display Settings. -
Perspective/Orthographic View– Switch between two types of 3D views:- Perspective: Mimics human eye perception, with objects appearing smaller as they are farther away.
- Orthographic: Maintains parallel lines and uniform object size regardless of distance.

Camera Preset – Instantly switch to preset views: Top, Bottom, Front, Back, Left, or Right. -
Reset Zoom – Resets the zoom level to the default setting.
Clipping and Sectioning Tools
Clipping Tool
- Adjust the visible area of the 3D Dollhouse along the Z-axis (top and bottom) using the clipping tool located on the right side.
Note: You can lock the view to a top or bottom angle along the Z-axis by clicking the
Lock to View icon. - Click the
Clipping Tool icon above the Z-axis control bar to open all Clipping Panels, including X, Y, and Z axes.
Sectioning Tool
- Sectioning is available when locking to the views in the clipping tool. Click
to find these sectioning options.
3D Display Settings

Customize the 3D Dollhouse appearance:
- Rendering Style: Choose from Point Cloud, Textured Mesh, or Elevation Heatmap.
- Opacity: Adjust the 3D Dollhouse opacity using the slider control.
- Point Limit per Frame: Control the maximum number of points loaded each time the capture window is rendered to speed up loading.

Point Size: Select how point sizes are rendered:
- Adaptive: Points in lower-density areas are larger, and points in higher-density areas are smaller.
- Fixed: All points appear at the same size.
- Hide Surface Facing the Camera: Enabled by default to make internal structures of the 3D Dollhouse more viewable. Toggle off to view the entire structure without hiding any surfaces.
Export the3D Dollhouse
- Click Export in the 3D Data section of the 3D Display Settings.
- Select your preferred export format and click the Exportbutton.
- Available formats include E57, PLY and XYZ (Text or Binary) for point clouds, and OBJ (mesh only) or GLB (mesh and texture) for meshes.
- The exported 3D Dollhouse will include only the currently visible levels and areas within the clipped section.
- If multiple levels are activated, the 3D Dollhouse will be downloaded with all selected levels.
- If the clipping tool is used, the export will reflect the clipped portion of the 3D Dollhouse.
Note: Display and clipping settings also apply when viewing the 3D Dollhouse in First-Person mode.
